Dorn leads Bulldogs with fifth-place finish at State Championships
FRESNO – College of San Mateo standout Ericka Dorn closed out an impressive sophomore season by earning All-American honors with a fifth-place finish at the 2025 3C2A State Championships on Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Dorn cleared the 5,000-meter championship course with a time of 18:13.89, her fastest time in three races this season at Woodward Park. She was the top finisher from Northern California coming in after four straight SoCal runners.
By finishing among the competition's top-14, Dorn earned All-American as well as first-team All-State honors.
Sophomore Deia Kerseg-Foreman wrapped up her solid CSM career with a 19th-place finish. She clocked in at 18:53.32. Also for the San Mateo women, freshman Lina Cruz Parada took 24th place with a personal best time of 19:05.99.
Both Kerseg-Foreman and Cruz Parada earned second-team All-State accolades by finishing among the race's top-28 runners.
The CSM men had one runner qualify for the 3C2A State Championships. Freshman Colin Williams represented the Bulldogs and cleared the men's four-mile Woodward Park course with his time of 22:28.63 for 136th place.
